About your Postpartum Doula
Inviting a new person into your home at such a vulnerable time in the lives of you and your family is not something to be taken lightly. I’m proud of you for seeking the support you need. And I am honored that you are here!
Hi! I’m Alejandra π€
I’m never fully dressed without a smile π
I’m a Boy Mom x3, one bonus son, one hospital birth, one home birth.
I have an artists soul, and strive daily to have a heart like Jesus.
A favorite quote from a favorite book, Raising an Original, artfully explains my view: “As the treasures our children are, every precious gem stone is faceted differently to capture the light. If we insist on trying only to maintain a standard of βnormalβ in our children, we miss the amazing opportunity to coax true brilliance- the brightness of a completely unique soul- to its full purpose.” We are all originals and we all have a special need to be heard, understood, and loved. I believe this with my whole heart and this is how I approach each new family and babe.
My family is “crunchy” and outdoorsy, and my children attend outdoor daycare and preschool.
I wore my babies, we practice yoga, and we spend a lot of time volunteering in the south suburbs. We love loving on people. We love to eat!
I am an avid reader and continuous learner. If we don’t work together, I hope you’ll at least give me a great book recommendation and I can point you to our favorite park or trail π
I am a Postpartum Doula, DONA trained, and working my way towards certification. My job is to guide and equip you and your family, so that you no longer need me. Yes- if I do my job right, I work myself out of a job π€ On the flip side, when I work myself out of a job, that means the new family is empowered with the confidence and competence to continue their journey without me.

The job of a Postpartum Doula is not to be the end-all, be-all for the new family. Part of my role in equipping you to move forward in confidence, I maintain a library of local resources, favorite books, favorite YouTube Videos, podcasts, etc for my client families for you to return to now or later.
If you have any questions for your new family at any time, please reach out.
If I don’t know the answer or who can help you, I probably know someone who can be a conduit for that connection π€

Ready to know more?
Thank you for taking time to get to know me!
The people who truly know what a doula does are usually Doulas! Don’t be worried, if you’re not sure! I have compiled a page of information on the Postpartum Doula’s role, as defined by DONA and CAPPA.
I have also added a list of “Add-On Services”
